The Swiss banks can be roughly divided into six groups, there is this to big banks, Raiffeisen banks, cantonal banks, regional banks and savings banks, stock exchanges, securities, asset management, banks and private bankers as well as foreign-controlled banks. There are many, some well-known banks, which have found theirown place in the industry and PostFinance, which does have no banking license, as a business unit of Swiss Post, but in retail banking has a very strong position.
